Property Goals 2015
As we move into 2015, we want to communicate some needs we have to insure the long term health of our church. As you may be aware, New Life owns and is responsible for maintaining 5 buildings on 4.3 acres.
These include our main building (sanctuary, classrooms, and offices), our youth building (fellowship hall and classrooms), our "shed" where we keep our riding mower and tools, as well as the 2 rental houses on Jennings Ave.
Our Church Council is tasked with helping oversee our finances and facilities. They have set some goals to accomplish 3 property upgrades in 2015:
1. New roof for the church building
Current lowest bid: $17,500
2. Seal coating and repair of our large 100 space parking lot, with new striping.
Current lowest bid: $4800
3. Retrofit old T12 fluorescent fixtures in 2 buildings to fit 4-foot LED tubes (energy savings of 77%; estimated payback of 2.4 years).
Current bid: $3260 (Main bldg. $2030, Youth bldg. $1230).
